Furniture Production Supervisor

The Furniture Production Supervisor would be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role involves supervising production staff, coordinating tasks, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient use of machinery and materials. The ideal candidate must have experience in furniture manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a good understanding of CNC machinery and AutoCAD.

Requirements

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Assign tasks to production workers and monitor their performance to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
• Train new employees on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule production activities and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and address any maintenance or repair needs.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports on key performance indicators such as production output, quality metrics, and inventory levels.
• Resolve any production-related issues or conflicts that may arise in a timely and effective manner.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among production staff.

Qualifications

• 5 years proven experience as production supervisor or similar role in furniture industry.
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• HND/Diploma in a technical, engineering or relevant field
• knowledge on AutoCAD drawings and the use of CNC is an added advantage.
