Job Description
The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all furniture products meet the company’s quality standards and ISO certifications. The candidate will oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods while ensuring the efficient functioning of machines and tools.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Furniture Design, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control within the furniture-making industry.
2. Technical Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
- Hands-on experience with furniture-making processes and materials.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting machinery and maintaining equipment, particularly cutting tools and blades.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and SON compliance procedures.
3. Key Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify flaws or defects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Quality Control, ISO standards, or SON compliance are an added advantage.
- Practical experience working in a bespoke furniture-making company or similar industry
